Wesley Kidz Korna
An important focus for our life at Wesley is our ministry with the Wesley Kidz (up to Standard 4), Youth (Intermediate to College) and their families.
The Wesley Kidz and Young People are involved in helping to lead Sunday worship most weeks, and after a time in church, continue activities suited to their ages. During term-time, there are three age-based groups (3 to 7, 8-11, 12-18 years) that use the Seasons of the Spirit congregational resource. We have a great Teaching Team for our term-time Sunday programme, with teachers working in pairs on a roster system. Activities cater for a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and learning styles.
Training is offered to teachers three or four times a year, and parents, grand-parents and caregivers are welcome to join us for these.
We follow a Code of Conduct, based on the Methodist guidelines Being Safe, Keeping Safe (Auckland: Mission Resourcing, Methodist Church of New Zealand, 2000).

On Sundays that fall during and either side of the school holidays, and on public holidays, there is usually an all-age activity that aims to be fun as well as offer some Christian learning.
During the holidays we also offer one or two daytime activities for the Wesley Kidz and their friends.
